We are pleased to introduce the Stormer Coat to our lineup and share with you our latest editorial, which showcases this rainy day favorite of ours. Inspired by the coats worn by fisherman in the early turn of the century, we wanted to take this iconic piece and alter the design to give it a more contemporary fit. An outer shell piece designed with a removable hood and equipped with an inside pocket, where the hood easily folds up into.
When designing this coat we wanted to make sure that the garment could withstand the elements. The Stormer Coat is made out of a 8.25 oz. waxed cotton canvas to insure its resistance to water, keeping you dry during the damp weather. We constructed the coat with a double needle felled chain-stitched seam, as well as reinforcing the patch pockets at the waist with bartacks and brass eyelets for water to drain. The collar of the coat is a "Peter Pan Cut" with snaps hidden underneath for attaching the hood. The hood is paneled for a casual slope look and includes an interfaced visor for rain coverage.
