As we approach these colder months we begin to layer up on clothes and for us at Knickerbocker, this is one of our favorite things. Our latest editorial showcases the Service Chore Coat, which is a perfect article to mix-and-match with other garments.
Inspired by the USMC N-3 Utility Fatigue Coats & French Work Chore, we wanted design something with a more modern fit and appeal, yet still recognizing its past. We used a 9 oz. herringbone cotton twill made on a shuttle loom & washed down for a soft hand, vintage look. The pockets are your classic trio patch pocket combo and the collar is a notch collar, intended to be worn up or pressed down for a more formal look. The coats are detailed with the iconic laurel wreath, single star tack buttons, which are were prominently used throughout USMC wear as a symbol of good luck.
Like all of our garments, they are designed to last and we can guarantee that these Service Chore Coats will do just that.
