As the New Year is arriving, most individuals begin to think about a few things; New Year's resolutions, self-improvement, and of course their party plans for New Year's Eve.
London has a renowned reputations of hosting some of the wildest New Year's Eve celebrations in Europe. Between thousands of people dancing in the streets and celebrating at Trafalgar and Parliament Squares, London turns into a massive street party host. Upon the arrival of the New Year, there is a beautiful firework display that can be seen across the city.
Annually on New Year's Day there is a parade through the streets of the West End of London. The Parade started in 1987 and was named the Lord Mayor of Westminster's Big Parade. The original event features about 2,000 performers, mostly consisting of marching bands. However, over the years it has grown in size with nearly 10,000 street performers and thousands of spectators.
