In 1959, the Chose Few MC was officially started in South Los Angeles. They weren't the only black or multi-racial MC to come up around that time and through the '60s. Black motorcycle clubs were emerging all over California, including the East Bay Dragons, Outlaw Vagabonds and the Soul Brothers.
The club, which quickly became multi-racial, emphasized the bond of the patch over anything else. Their reputation spread through town with the news of this multi-racial MC, and they had to protect it. Out of the chaos of the '60s, with the Vietnam War, Flower Power, the Civil Rights Movement, Free Love, etc., these legendary MCs rose. To gain a deeper understanding of the Chosen Few and the environment that molded them, watch the documentary film "Take None, Give None".
