Little hidden gems fill New York City. You just have to know where to look and which doors to buzz.
The Morrison Hotel, an art gallery named after The Doors 5th LP, is located in the heart of SoHo. It sits on the always-busy Price Street between Greene and Wooster; however, many people do not know it is there. When you arrive at the door, buzz up to the second floor and inside sits one of the coolest galleries in the city.
Music industry professionals Peter Blachley, Richard Horowitz and Henry Diltz founded the space in 2001 and since the beginning have focused exclusively on photos of music, musicians and the photographers that captured iconic moments within the music industry over the past 50 years.
The exhibitions are always on rotation, so it is a place that you can visit time and time again as source of inspiration or as a cool haven to tuck into when walking about the busy streets of SoHo.
