Last month saw the Brooklyn Museum's exhibition "Basquiat: The Unknown Notebooks" come to an end. If you missed out, don't worry, the book version is also for sale. It may not be as mesmerizing but it provides the same amount of inspiration.
Brooklyn born artist Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988) does not require an introduction. This most recent exhibition saw poetry fragments, sketches, and personal observations from an archive of his old notebooks. The exhibition featured over 160 pages from these valuable documents.
With an artist of this caliber, there is not much to say. The work speaks for itself, so here are some of pages from The Unknown Notebooks. You can purchase a hardcover version on amazon.
