Established in 1909, Greenwich House Pottery has kept the clay tradition alive in the Village. Over the years the Pottery has become an internationally renowned ceramics center. They currently carry a diverse class selection, residencies and exhibitions. Courses include hand building, ceramic jewelry, glaze chemistry, sculpture and wheel-throwing, among others. There are also classes for children and seniors.
Their renowned workshop and lecture series have pulled artists from all over the globe. The impressive selection includes Linda Arbuckle, Rudy Autio, Malcom Davis, Sam Chung, Tony Hepburn, Akio Takamori, Peter Voulkos and Jack Troy. The house is also home to the Jane Hartsook Gallery that hosts different exhibitions throughout the year.
