Sarah Kjelleren, a photographer based out of the city & friend of the company, approached us to do an editorial with pieces from our S/S15 & upcoming A/W15 lines. The end product surpassed our expectations.
The series reflects our mantra to every last detail. We take an incredible amount of inspiration from the past & photography is a primary medium to access it. The piece of work has a certain depth that one usually will only see in aged black & white film photography. With ease, Sarah managed to utterly recreate the depth of vintage black & white photography that so many photographers strive for. At first glance, I wouldn't be able to tell you if these photos were taken recently, or 100 years ago. The series presents the hardened emotion of a blue collar worker from the past with eyes that gleam hope, curiosity, & content, but also cry out fatigue, skepticism, & despair.
A special thank you to Sarah for making a series that not only do our product justice, but one which evokes countless layers of emotions that can only be achieved through perseverance & staying true to oneself.
